Cancom’s partners in Regional Vision are:

Capital Communications CDPQ Inc., the communications investment arm of the Quebec Investment and deposit Bank;

CSL Infrastructure Management Inc., owned by SNC-Lavalin and Clientech Management Services Inc.; and

Hougen Communications, owned by Rolf Hougen, founder and Director of Cancom. In addition, WIC’s 53.7% ownership in Cancom opens the door for shared technology between WIC Connexus and Regional Vision.

CANADA’S LARGEST HOLDER OF LMCS LICENCES

Through Cancom and WIC Connexus, WIC now owns licences to operate LMCS cells in 160 communities across Canada. The licences permit delivery of digital video channels and telecommunications services.

Is a national broadcasting and communications holding company which, through operating subsidiaries, owns nine television stations, twelve radio stations and subscription and pay-per-view services (Super channel, MovieMax! and Viewer's Choice). WIC also has an equity interest in The Family Channel Inc., which in turn owns an interest in Teletoon, an animation channel. WIC also owns 29% of Canadian Satellite Communications Inc. (Cancom). WIC shares trade as WIC.B on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
